Hi, I'm Ashleigh 👋
I'm not 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝒄𝒐𝒂𝒄𝒉... but I am 'The Other Sales Coach' 😉
I'm on a mission to enable companies and sales professionals to achieve sustainable growth by emphasizing empathy and humanity through science.
I bring over a decade of experience at Silicon Valley icons like Okta, FireEye, Mattermark to early-stage startups.
I call myself "The Other Sales Coach" because I don't subscribe to any specific methodologies. Instead, I adapt my coaching to the individual, and focus my consulting on the unique intersection of product, people, and industry. My style works- or maybe it's just my spectacular wit and rigorous attention to detail- but almost 90% of my clients have extended or renewed their contracts after initial engagement.
I allow my clients a "safe place" to get creative, be honest and GROW their sales skills. Let's be honest, there are some things you can't tell the person who signs your paycheck. I ensure you have a balanced combination of accountability, healthy-habit formation, personality-tailored feedback and unconditional support.

How do you make prospects feel like they need your product now?
Utilize a shortened "Hero's Journey" story - you don't even need to use the person's real name! Anonymize by using first name, title, company size, and company industry (ie "That reminds me of John - he was a CIO at a 5k person logistics company"). The goal is to create neural coupling so they feel like the hero and see a way out of their troubles. One thing a lot of reps struggle with is they want to make their product the hero. Remember - everyone knows Luke and Harry...but we wouldn't know their wand or lightsaber without the character. So tell the character's story to create trust.

How do you use assessment to persuade others?
I always try to connect their exact words to proven data. Start with mirroring to confirm you heard them correctly (and build trust because you were actually listening) then draw from your arsenal of client stories, industry research, or anything else to SHOW, not tell, that you can solve that problem. It's also essential to make sure you include EMOTIONAL and RATIONAL evidence. People make decisions emotionally - and then justify rationally. (Winning By Design has some GREAT blueprints on this as well!)
