Integrated photonics is impossible! ... without its engineers 😉 So we went out to make more of them! On Friday, Philip P. J. Schrinner presented to an audience of students at various academic levels in TWENTE OPTICS & PHOTONICS SOCIETY (TOPS)'s High Tech Twente event. Going over the many choices engineers must make in manufacturing an #IntegratedPhotonics device, the talk lead to a lively chat about work in the #photonics industry! Then Monday came and Sadoon Al-Obaidi took the stage at Carla Camp, among the many PhotonicsNL members. There we presented the #interdsciplinary spirit in photonic module development, from our own teams to our customers in various industries. Thanks to all organizers for their hard work and all attendees for their spirited engagement!🦾 At LioniX, we’re always excited to welcome talented individuals passionate about integrated photonics. Whether you’re a recent graduate looking to jump into the field or an experienced professional ready for your next challenge, there’s always room for innovation on our team 🤝 💼 Speaking of opportunities, we’re currently looking for an #EmbeddedSoftware Engineer to join our ship of innovation. If you’ve got the skills and experience, we’d love to hear from you! https://lnkd.in/eyvkK6DF #Work #HighTech #Job #Vacancy

In photonics, we love two things: light-speed breakthroughs and high-speed fun! 🏁 Last week, we packed up our chips and modules, put away our photonics gear, and geared up instead for a different kind of adventure. Our team hit the go-kart track 🏎️ fired up some laser tag battles🔫 and found a way to get out of an escape room together🧭 Nothing brings the #RedLions closer than racing each other (even though we’re always a #team in real life), cracking mysteries, and having some fun together! After a day full of fun and friendly competition, we wrapped it up with some good food and drinks— it’s a LioniX tradition to end the day in the right way🍻 After all, great teamwork happens both on and off the #circuit! 😉

A while back, we introduced you to our Reconfigurable (DE)MUX Filter 🌟Now, we’re unpacking its functionality, design, and the powerful ways it addresses flexible frequency allocation demands. What satellite communications need is a filter so malleable that it bends to frequency needs in real time. The latest reconfigurable demultiplexing filter we built allows ultra-precise frequency allocation in dense communication systems. 🌐 These functionalities are made possible through the low loss waveguiding of TriPleX® silicon nitride, our stress-optic actuators, and a vertically integrated design and production approach. Now that’s a flex! 💪 ➡️Why does this matter? It’s the flexibility. As networks grow more complex, having a filter that adapts on-the-fly keeps data flowing smoothly, reduces interference, and ultimately future-proofs your setup for whatever demands come next. Read all about it in our new blog article by Charoula Mitsolidou: https://lnkd.in/ePYfXd8t
