We successfully demonstrated the cutting-edge wire saw we are co-developing with Circular Maritime Technologies (CMT International b.v.) This advanced wire saw is a cornerstone of a groundbreaking technology designed to enable sustainable ship dismantling. The innovative solution offers a circular, safe, and cost-effective alternative to traditional shipbreaking methods, aligning with global efforts toward sustainability. Among the guests were maritime cabinet envoy Kees van der Staaij and South Holland Deputy Arne Weverling. They joined us for a tour on our premises in Schiedam (NL), where we showcased our commitment to driving innovation in the maritime industry.

Using state-of-the-art drones, Huisman can inspect equipment quickly, efficiently and with minimum downtime. Flown by expert pilots, Huisman’s drone service offers a safe and remote visual inspection in any environment. By substantially reducing inspection times, repairs can be underway as soon as possible. We’re thrilled to announce a contract for the delivery of two 250mt Knuckle Boom Cranes for Sea1 Offshore, a Norwegian shipping company. These state-of-the-art cranes will be installed on the innovative ST-245-designed offshore energy support vessels, built by COSCO (Qidong) Offshore Co., Ltd. Our cranes are equipped with Huisman’s proprietary Active Heave Compensation system, seamlessly integrating the crane’s electric setup with the vessel’s DC grid. This cutting-edge technology ensures optimal efficiency and enhanced interaction with the vessel’s energy storage system. We proudly look back on the successful load-out of the Motion Compensated Gripper Frame for our client Heerema Marine Contractors at our quayside in Schiedam, NL. This great milestone was achieved thanks to months of dedicated teamwork and the expertise of everyone involved. This cutting-edge mission equipment will be installed on the SSCV Thialf, enabling the installation of monopiles up to 12.5 meters in diameter in water depths ranging from 23 to 40 meters.
