Let’s optimise crop performance at every stage with the Grodan 6-phase model. Today we’re looking at phase 4 – production and balance! After the first harvest in phase 3, the focus shifts to the controlled and uniform re-growth of the crop. This ensures a smooth transition to harvesting fruit on the lateral stems. To achieve this, a more structured irrigation strategy is needed: 💧 Start irrigating when the plant is transpiring. ☀️ Ensure the electrical conductivity (EC) in the growing media is at its lowest when radiation is at its peak. 🌙 Aim for a stable decrease in water content (WC) overnight. Let's continue exploring the Grodan 6-phase model. In previous videos, we shared tips to ensure complete root penetration of the entire substrate volume. Phase 3 is focused on growth and balance. This phase avoids shocks in development by retaining the right balance of fruit load and growing power through even water and nutrients, and the development of strong lateral roots.
