About us
The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) was established through the promulgation of the Nigerian Export Promotion Decree No. 26 of 1976 and formally inaugurated in March, 1977. This act was amended by Decree No.72 of 1979 and further amended by the Nigerian Export Promotion Decree No. 41 of 1988 and complimented by the Export (Incentives and Miscellaneous Provisions) Decree No. 18 of 1986. The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) is the Federal Government of Nigeria’s apex institution for the promotion, development and diversification of non-oil exports. NEPC has over the years worked to achieve its mandate by e.g.: Coordinating and harmonizing export development and promotion activities in the country Taking the lead in all national export programs Interfacing with international trade agencies on cooperation and capacity building Our Vision To make the world a market place for Nigerian non-oil products Our Mission To spearhead the diversification of the Nigerian economy by expanding and increasing non-oil exports for sustainable and inclusive economic growth. Our Strategy Diversify the productive base of the Nigerian economy away from oil and foster market-oriented, private sector-driven economy through market oriented export products development

The Nigerian Export Promotion Council held the 3rd National Conference on non-oil exports on 12/11/24 with the theme: Promoting Non-Oil Export for Rapid National Economic Growth It was an insightful and memorable event which presented a platform to ventilate ideas on current & emerging issues affecting non-oil exports and to provide a roadmap that would help stimulate an increase in export related activities. In attendance was His Excellency, The President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria GCFR. Other Distinguished guests included His Excellency the Vice President Federal Republic of Nigeria @KashimSM represented by Senator Ibrahim Hadejia, Her Excellency, the Director General World Trade Organization our HM Dr Jumoke Oduwole our immediate past HM Doris Uzoka-Anite MD, CFA distinguished Senators & Honourable members, bankers, exporters & very important guests too numerous to mention. In her comments our ED/CEO, Nonye Ayeni noted that the evolving global economy, fluctuations in demand and prices of oil underscore the need for diversification to non-oil exports for sustainable growth and development in Nigeria.

@NonyeAyeni, ED/CEO @officialnepc held an introductory and interactive meeting with Hon. Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO Nigerians in Diaspora Commission and her team at their head office on Wednesday 02/10/24. The meeting was to apprise each agency of the other's activities & to explore areas of common interest and collaboration. NIDCOM as the Federal Governments Agency tasked with coordinating Nigerians in the diaspora, is crucial for @officialnepc to reach Nigerians who live abroad, explore trade opportunities via the large diaspora community & facilitate market access for our non-oil products. The two CEO’s agreed that proper planning and collaborative synergy between @officialnepc and NIDCOM will benefit trade and help us realize our diversification agenda in line with our #DoubleYourExport mantra

The ED/CEO, Nonye Ayeni was in China as the representative of Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) She was part of the delegation that accompanied the Honourable Minister FMITI Dr Doris Anite & other senior govt functionaries to the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) 2024 which took place in Beijing. FOCAC is a high powered, interactive & very instructive forum. Established in 2000, it has played a pivotal role in fostering dialogue & collaboration between the two regions. The summit is expected to pay significant attention with a focus on economic, political, & social development. In the past few years, China's engagement with Africa has grown substantially with FOCAC conferences providing a bilateral & multilateral platform for significant financial commitments in the form of loans, investments and trade facilitation for African economies FOCAC’s support has impacted various sectors especially in the critical areas of infrastructure, agriculture, & healthcare. Aside these, FOCAC focuses on emerging global challenges, such as the pandemic & climate change.
