What will the ideal world for writers be? In the Ibinabo Writing Residency with Pencilmarks & Scribbles and Iko Africa, our Residency Professor Clara Jack gave us a task at a point to write about what the ideal world for writers be. After procrastinating on what to write, I soon got my muse in reminiscing about what jeered me into writing. I eventually wrote a piece which had an element of comedy that made my professor giggle. I thought that was all until Iko Africa recognised the piece on their X page last month. I should say the Ibinabo Writing Residency really made my writing skills better. I have the immeasurable tutoring of Clara Jack to thank for that. Who knew her subtle voice had impact in hammering her lessons in our minds? I can't wait to share the anthology writing fellows contributed to alongside my certificate 🤭.

I'm excited about a recent opportunity to teach an Iko Africa writing class at the end of the month. This class was inspired by the writer's workbook journal I created and I'm grateful for the chance to provide some value to both aspiring and experienced writers.

WE HIT 4,000 SIGN-UPS and 15,000 TOTAL USERS! 🥳🎉 I will be honest it hasn’t been the best start to the year for us at Iko Africa. With major commitments in our full time roles, it has been extremely difficult to create a balance. We’ve had to rely heavily on our community to keep us going as most of our growth this year has been from word of mouth and we don’t take that for granted.
