This day serves as a powerful reminder of the critical need to combat drug abuse and illegal drug trade, issues that affect millions of lives worldwide. 🚫 End the Stigma 🚫 Let's work together to end the stigma surrounding addiction. People who struggle with substance abuse need our understanding and support, not judgment. By promoting awareness and compassion, we can help those affected find the courage to seek the help they need. 🌿 Prevention and Education 🌿 Education and prevention are key in the fight against drug abuse. At Greenlane Universal Foundation, we are committed to providing resources and programs that inform our community about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of making healthy choices. 🤝 Support and Recovery 🤝 Recovery is a journey, and no one should have to walk it alone. We offer support services for individuals and families impacted by drug abuse, helping them navigate the path to recovery with dignity and hope. 🌐 Global Effort 🌐 This year's theme emphasizes the importance of shared responsibility in addressing drug challenges in health and humanitarian crises. Together, we can create a safer, healthier world free from the dangers of drug abuse and illicit trafficking. Join us in our efforts to make a difference. On the 29th of May 2024 Greenlane Universal Foundation started a new project called Empower 360 to teach essential life skills. Students gathered for the first session of the project, eager to learn from Dr. Victor. He began by asking the students what they knew about emergencies at home. The students shared their ideas, and Dr. Victor listened carefully. He explained the content and use of a First aid kit and taught the students how to handle situations like asthma attacks, burns, convulsions, cuts, and bleeding. He also showed them how to do CPR, a unique technique to help someone breathe again. The best part was when the students got to practice what they learned. They tried their new skills, and Dr. Victor watched them closely, giving tips and advice. Some students did such a great job that they received cash prizes as rewards. By the end of the day, the students felt proud and confident. They learned how to help others in emergencies, making their school and community safer. The Empower 360 project began its mission to teach and protect, starting with the outstanding students of the Afri-European School. United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Education as a Vaccine

HPV is likely to touch nearly everyone who's sexually active at some point. But the good news is that most infections clear up on their own without causing any symptoms. This is why regular checkups are important for early detection of any lingering HPV strains. #viral Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR)

You never know when an emergency might strike. Last year, John (name changed for privacy), a volunteer at our NGO, witnessed a cardiac arrest at a local park. Thanks to his CPR training, he was able to intervene and keep the victim alive until paramedics arrived. CPR and first aid skills can make ALL the difference! Here's why you should consider learning: Early CPR can double or triple a person's chances of survival during cardiac arrest. Basic first aid can stop bleeding, prevent infection, and manage shock until medical help arrives. Knowing these skills allows you to be a hero in any situation. Therefore empowering yourself and your community. Greenlane Universal Foundation is committed to building a safer community. Here's how you can get involved: Share this post to raise awareness! Contact us to learn more about affordable training options! Together, let's equip ourselves with the knowledge to save lives! #CPR #FirstAid #BeAPreparedHero #CommunitySafety #HealthAwareness #Greenlaneuf P.S. The connection is real: Trauma from sexual abuse can increase the risk of mental health issues for everyone, but especially for PLHIV and people with disabilities. Mental health challenges can make it harder to manage a chronic illness like HIV. We need to: Raise awareness about the mental health needs of these groups. Promote access to mental health services that are inclusive and address specific needs. Break the stigma around mental health and sexual abuse. #MentalHealthAwareness #PLHIV #Disability #SexualAbuseSurvivors #YouAreNotAlone
