At French Tech Lagos we heard from phenomenal accomplished women, talked about start ups, funding and everything in between. One powerful moment stood out when a young woman Michelle Edosomwan asked, “How can I achieve work-life balance in tech?” It’s a question many of us face, and the room instantly leaned in, knowing just how challenging it can be. We talked about outsourcing help, something that’s often recommended but not always realistic for those in the early stages of their careers. We discussed finding creative ways to manage stress and make space for personal growth. One key takeaway? There is unfortunately no work life balance, or at least not in the way one would imagine. Hobbies like exercise, pottery, and even traveling can provide the perfect escape to reset and offset the pressures of work. Truth is you often have to focus on your goals and bare a little discomofort, trials and tribulations. It was a conversation about balance, not just in work, but in life. We shared how nurturing passions outside of tech can help recharge our energy and stay grounded in the hustle. For every woman building her career, consider that finding those small moments of joy is just as crucial as hitting career milestones. Take it one step at a time ✨ you can watch the full recap on YouTube.
