The Rotary Club Windhoek had the distinct honour of hosting special guest speaker, Dr. Esperance Luvindao an accomplished medical professional and digital health consultant. She spoke about her foundation, OSAAT Africa Health Foundation provides free medical advice and health education to marginalised communities across Namibia in their indigenous languages. The foundation is currently focused on using technology to offer reproductive health education, advice and other services, including HIV awareness and prevention. To date, the foundation has educated over 10,000 Namibians in their indigenous languages. They’ve also implanted over 100 ICUDs to prevent unwanted pregnancies and will continue their impactful work with their first outreach programme in Kavango West later this year. It was truly inspiring to hear about young Namibians addressing local health challenges, one step at a time.
