💡 While 57% of consumers plan to be more cautious with their spending in the next six months, the majority of Malaysians across all income groups are still inclined to spend to reward themselves. A joint research on consumer spending behaviours by Omnicom Media Group Malaysia and AI-driven research firm Vase.ai also identified different gratification drivers among income groups. Low-income consumers tend to indulge in treats to uplift their spirits and alleviate stress, while medium-income consumers are drawn towards rewards that reflect their values and taste.
