At Leal, our commitment to sustainability is embedded in the very foundations we build.   Our newest buildings, PNL's headquarters and Montebello showrooms (Renault, GWM, Mitsubishi), are designed to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Here's how we're making it happen:  Optimization of our roofs with the installation of photovoltaic panels. At PNL we currently have 645 kW of PVs and soon 900 kW, to produce more than we consume. In Montebello, we currently have 166kW covering the entirety of our showrooms.  Advanced wastewater treatment systems and rainwater recovery for site irrigation and toilets, ensuring responsible water use.  Energy management solutions that prioritize efficiency and minimize environmental impact.  These buildings reflect our belief that sustainable development isn't just an option - it's the future.

We are proud to announce a strategic partnership between Leal Group and PV Solutions.   Pioneer in the supply and installation of photovoltaic panels in Mauritius through our subsidiary Leal Energie, this project strengthens our long-standing commitment to a sustainable energy transition.  The PVs installed by Leal Energie since 2011 can now be recycled locally, contributing to a more circular economy. Since 2013, the group has invested in over 860 kW of solar panels to power our buildings and our fleet of electric vehicles. This initiative aligns with our long-term sustainability goals. 𝗙𝗲́𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮̀ 𝗹𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗧𝗥𝗧 𝗔𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝘂𝗿 𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗲́𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗮𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 ! Ce weekend, l'équipe a triomphé lors de la dernière course de la saison, consolidant ainsi leur place de leader incontesté du championnat 2024 avec un total impressionnant de 154 points, soit 48 points d'avance sur le second équipage. Le pari audacieux de débuter cette saison avec une Alpine de série s'est révélé gagnant grâce à un travail acharné et méticuleux de tous les membres de l'équipe. Thierry Duvivier et Frédéric Nokiah ont démontré leur talent et leur dextérité rallye après rallye, dépassant toutes les attentes en visant initialement le Top 5 mais en finissant premiers tout au long de la saison. Avec plus de 950 heures de travail réparties sur 62 jours et la contribution de 18 techniciens, l'équipe a transformé une Alpine A110 S de série en une voiture de course performante et fiable. Toutes les améliorations techniques ont été réalisées localement, mettant en lumière le savoir-faire exceptionnel et le dévouement de l'équipe TRT-Alpine ainsi que de leurs partenaires principaux. "Nous sommes extrêmement fiers de cette victoire et de tout le travail accompli par l'équipe TRT Alpine cette saison. Lorsque nous avons décidé de commencer cette aventure avec une Alpine de série, nous savions que ce serait un défi de taille. Mais grâce à la détermination et à l'expertise de chaque membre de l'équipe, nous avons réussi à transformer cette voiture en une véritable championne. Thierry Duvivier et moi-même avons donné le meilleur de nous-mêmes à chaque rallye, et cette première place dépasse toutes nos espérances. Nous tenons à remercier sincèrement le Groupe Leal et Alpine Maurice pour leur soutien indéfectible, ainsi que tous les membres de l'équipe pour leur professionnalisme et leur dévouement. Sans oublier la Fan Team de Leal pour leur encouragement tout au long des courses. La saison 2025 s'annonce déjà prometteuse avec des évolutions prévues pour le moteur, la transmission et l'électronique, visant à rendre la voiture encore plus compétitive. 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗰𝗮𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘂𝘀 𝘀'𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲 𝗮̀ 𝗘𝗯𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁. Depuis novembre 2023, Europcar Maurice est fier de s’associer à Ebony Forest, illustrant ainsi notre engagement envers l’environnement et notre soutien à la conservation de la biodiversité. Dans le cadre de cette collaboration, nous reversons un pourcentage de chaque location à Ebony Forest, qui est utilisé pour la plantation de nouveaux arbres. En choisissant de louer avec Europcar Maurice, nos clients contribuent directement à la préservation de la biodiversité et à la réduction de l'empreinte carbone. Pour sensibiliser davantage, nous avons intégré des informations sur cette initiative dans nos discours de présentation et ajouté des messages sur tous nos véhicules. De plus, chaque client reçoit un autocollant de réduction de 15 % à utiliser chez Ebony Forest et a l’opportunité de planter un arbre lui-même, laissant ainsi une empreinte positive et durable sur l’écosystème de notre île.

Following the successful launch of our Carbon Footprint study in June and after months of data collection, the group's executive leadership and management team gathered together on the 12th of November 2024 for an impactful workshop focused on brainstorming actionable decarbonization strategies. With the data in hand, our leaders collaborated to identify key actions towards reducing the group's Scope 1,2 and 3 and accelerating our sustainability initiatives. Whilst we still have to define clear measurable actions and targets, this workshop was a crucial step in our commitment to climate action. The workshop was facillitated by Carbone Ingénierie and Cap Business Océan Indien who provided guidance, insight and structure to ensure productive discussions and strategic alignment. #sustainability #climateaction #decarbonization
