Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children in the daycare
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, mealtime, and naptime
- Monitor and document children's progress, behavior, and development
- Collaborate with parents to ensure open communication and address any concerns or questions
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and protocols
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques
- Ability to provide age-appropriate care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- First Aid/CPR certification is preferred but not required
Skills:
- Special education: Experience or knowledge in working with children with special needs
- Educate: Ability to teach and educate children through engaging activities
- Babysitting: Previous experience in babysitting or childcare roles
- First aid: Knowledge of basic first aid procedures for handling minor injuries or emergencies
- Early childhood education: Understanding of early childhood development and learning theories
- Preschool: Experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting
- Infant care: Ability to provide specialized care for infants, including feeding, diapering, and soothing techniques
- Behavior management: Skills in managing challenging behaviors in a positive and constructive manner
- Caregiving: Ability to provide nurturing care and support to children's physical, emotional, and social needs
- Experience with children: Previous experience working directly with children in any capacity
