Objectives and Position Details
The Staff Accountant supports the daily and monthly accounting operations including preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation.
Many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be your responsibility.
Your duties will also include participating in compliance, reviewing schedules for the reporting processes, and staying connected with our external accountants/auditors throughout weekly, monthly, quarterly reviews and annual audits.
The Staff Accountant spends a good deal of time producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections and Budgets.
Location: Miami, Florida (In Office)
Responsibility
Supports the CoinRoutes Inc daily accounting operations and monthly closing process, including the preparation of monthly accruals of revenue expenses to include all Accounts payable and receivable
Analyzes various areas of cash and credit operations accounting, including but not limited to, entering & monitoring payments, refunds, commission payouts & related processes
Performs reconciliations on assigned accounts and schedules to ensure the accuracy of data maintained in the general ledger; identifies reconciliation issues and elevates solutions or concerns
Prepares and assists in the compilation of Balance Sheet in preparation for monthly and quarterly meetings with management.
Manage and maintain company credit card users and policies.
Applies accounting concepts and policies in the preparation and review of financial transactions across accounts.
Assists in the collections and past due process for client accounts
Assists management in the analysis and review of Actual vs.
Forecast explanations
Ensures that financial information complies with relevant professional, industry, and regulatory standards.
Supports the development and implementation of accounting process
Performs ad hoc projects and analysis for annual and quarterly department budgets
Required Skills and Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credentials
Two or more years of experience in accounting including journal entries, general ledger reconciliation and analysis.
Two or more years of experience in accounting including journal entries, general ledger reconciliation (accounts receivables) and analysis
Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with managers and peers to establish trust and credibility, and to gain cooperation from others.
Ability to work under significant deadline pressures.
Ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and Quickbooks
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting; advanced degrees will be considered a plus.
Crypto industry knowledge is preferred: (ie Etherscan.
io, solscan.
io), experience working on complex digital asset transactions.
Ability to read and understand blockchain transactions based on publicly available data sources
