The Senior Revenue Accountant is responsible for ensuring the integrity of monthly and quarterly accounting processes for capitated revenue, supporting quarterly and annual audit requirements, and maintaining a strong control environment.
Responsibilities:
· Supports end-to-end monthly accounting and financial reporting processes for capitated revenue accounting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, including third-party medical costs, A/R, and Incurred but not reported (IBNR) reserves.
· Prepares monthly revenue files by compiling and analyzing health plan data.
· Executes ongoing control procedures in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
· Assist in year-end audit and quarterly reviews with external auditors.
· Assist in reviews with internal auditors.
· Reviews financial information for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
· Coordinates accounting matters with other departments.
· Assists in the integration of newly acquired businesses, if any, into the revenue accounting function.
· Supports Ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications:
· CPA or MBA preferred but not required.
· 3+ years of relevant accounting and/or finance experience: public accounting experience or experience in large public company corporate accounting and/or finance departments.
· Experience in Healthcare preferred but not required.
