Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team.
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our organization and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, financial management, and possess excellent financial acumen.

Duties: - Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements - Conduct financial forecasting and budgeting to support strategic planning - Perform month-end and year-end close processes - Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with IFRS and double entry bookkeeping principles - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions - Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations - Collaborate with internal teams to develop financial strategies and provide guidance on financial concepts - Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws - Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes - Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff Skills: - Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations - Proficiency in financial analysis and financial management - Excellent understanding of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) - Familiarity with double entry bookkeeping - Experience with governmental accounting is a plus - Knowledge of payroll processes and regulations - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software - Strong written and verbal communication skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: $90,000.
