*General Purpose of the Position:*
The Senior Accountant will prepare accounting information to assist in producing financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles in accordance with the mission, core values and needs of the company.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Maintain and balance accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies.
* Compiling, coding, input, categorizing, auditing, and verifying accounting records and information data.
* Apply generally accepted accounting principles and ensure financial statements are accurate.
* Oversee and support AR and AP clerks providing guidance and direction.
* Review, calculate and input data about assets, depreciation, liabilities, amortizations, and expenditures.
* Prepare bank reconciliations.
* Reconciled Credit Cards, prepare entries by maintaining updated records and files.
* Review payment request and enter wire transfers in the bank.
* Inter-companies’ reconciliation.
* Help with month end tasks.
* Provide accounting support for management by reviewing financial information.
* Provide support to the foreign subsidiaries as required.
* Assist with external auditing function to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
* Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
*Required qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience):*
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
* 5+ years of working experience in accounting.
* Ability to effectively work with different management levels and personalities.
* Skills in relationship-building, teamwork, and collaboration.
* Motivated, self-started.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to prioritize projects and execute and deliver key objectives in a timely manner under tight deadlines.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong experience in excel, V-look ups and PV tables.
* Ability to be reliable, responsible, and dependable.
* Experience in managing a team.
* Fully bilingual English/Spanish
* Experience working in logistics (a plus).
*Computer equipment and software requirements:*
* Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook.
* MAGAYA is a plus.
