It’s certainly possible! (Picture: ITV/REX)

It seems Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) in Coronation Street has been watching a few too many episodes of Homes Under the Hammer.

The beloved character announced to Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) in tonight’s episode that she had been thinking about ways to renovate the upstairs section of the Rovers Return Pub.

Splashing the cash around after stealing it from Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) isn’t as easy for Jenny and Daisy anymore. After Carla (Alison King) discovered their secret, she took over the pub and told them they’d need to pay back the money Stephen owed her, which was now sitting in their bank accounts.

Still, Jenny can dream, and she was dreaming about a posh new ensuite in the instalment that aired tonight.

After Daisy – once again – expressed her hatred towards new lodger Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), Jenny told her she had been thinking about an updated bathroom.

Daisy gave Jenny a quick reality check by reminding her the stairs above the cellar are rickety and close to collapsing – which got us thinking.

This could very easily be a random throwaway comment, but there’s also a possibility it has foreshadowed an upcoming storyline too.

The Rovers Return Pub has experienced all manner of drama over the years – but could an upcoming plot see Weatherfield residents’ lives in danger when the building slowly starts to collapse?

The establishment was shut for most of 2023 when Jenny accepted she wasn’t able to balance the books and keep the boozer open.

As a result of Daisy stealing from Stephen Reid, she was eventually able to reopen the local alongside Jenny.
