Emmerdale’s Matthew Wolfenden is reportedly dating a personal trainer following the end of his marriage to Charley Webb.
Matthew, whose final scenes as David Metcalfe will air soon, has three children with Charley – Buster, 12, Bowie, six, and Ace, three.
Last week (November 23), the soap stars shared a statement on their Instagram accounts, confirming they had separated after five years.
‘It is with love and respect that Matthew and I have decided to separate. We remain friends and our priority is the love for our children. For their sake, we would appreciate privacy at this time,’ Charley’s post read.
While Matthew, 43, posted an almost-identical paragraph but swapped his own name for 35-year-old Charley’s name.
Now, it’s being reported Matthew has started dating a personal trainer called, Heather, who is from Watford.
Heather was allegedly spotted outside a West End theatre waiting for Matthew, who is currenlty starring in Elf the Musical.
‘Heather was wary about getting too involved with Matthew too soon, but is head over heels’, a source told The Sun.
‘She was trying not to be seen with him, standing away from the stage door when he emerged from show rehearsals and shows. But now the cat is out of the bag.
‘Heather is a clean cut, popular woman who was desperate not to be painted as Matthew’s “other woman”. She’s not happy about being thrust into the conversation of his celebrity marriage breakdown.’
Metro.co.uk has contacted Matthew’s rep for a comment.
Elsewhere, Charley, who played Debbie Dingle in Emmerdale, recently returned to ITV to feature in the crime drama The Long Shadow.

The show, which also starred Vicky Myers, Lee Ingleby and Toby Jones, dramatised the five-year manhunt for the serial killer Peter Sutcliffe, commonly known as the Yorkshire Ripper.
Charley is currently on tour in the theatre show Quiz, where she plays Diana Ingram who, along with partner Charles, attempted to cheat on ITV’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire by coughing to signify the correct answer.
The story was also told in an ITV drama back in 2020, with Sian Clifford and Matthew MacFadyen playing the roles of Diana and Charles, while Michael Sheen stunned everyone with his iconic performance as Chris Tarrant, who presented the show.
