Gary Windass (Mikey North) is facing a bleak future in Coronation Street as the police have been informed of a body buried in the woods belonging to Rick Neelan – thanks to Gary’s ex, Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien).
Sarah initially had agreed to keep Gary’s killer secret after he saved her life and he then headed out to shift the body. But as an investigation is launched, Tina admits to her ex Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) that she was the one who reported him.
Adam calls at No.8 and reveals to a shocked Sarah that he knows she tipped the police off about the body in the woods.
Sarah explains, she came to her senses and realised it was time Gary got his just desserts. As Adam heads out, an anxious Sarah wonders what he’ll tell the police.
Adam confronts Gary in the furniture shop and suggests Gary dug up Rick’s body. Faye wonders what’s going on but Gary’s quick to close the conversation down.
But soon, Gary’s web of lies is coming badly undone and he faces the consequences of his actions in a dramatic turn of events.
While Adam and Sarah are getting close again and toasting to their reunion, it’s a slightly more uplifting start to 2021 for them than it is for Gary – who could be about to lose everything.
Will Sarah and Adam see him sent to prison?
