Coronation Street local Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) appears to have turned over a new leaf in the ITV soap, though it has left him in serious danger.

The youngster recently spent the night on Sally and Tim Metcalfe’s (Sally Dynevor and Joe Duttine) sofa, but his stay ended in disaster when his brothers forced him to break in so that they could steal from the couple.

Sally was left devastated to find her car and her mother’s engagement ring missing, and soon came to the conclusion that Mason must have been somehow involved.

When she confronted him, Mason confessed that his brothers were the thieves, and promised to try his best to get the car and ring back.

He later returned unsuccessful and nursing a busted lip, though this didn’t deter him from his mission.

The next day, Sally got a call to inform her that her car had been found, and it didn’t take Tim long to work out that it had been Mason’s doing.

Mason admitted to snitching on his brothers to the police, but urged Tim to keep it quiet.

Later, Tim filled Sally in on the update, before giving her back the engagement ring.

As she celebrated, Mason urged her to keep her voice down, worried that news would get out that he was the one to go to the police.

Tim was quick to point out that Mason no longer needed to worry, as his brothers would have been taken in by the police, but Mason explained that they would get bail like they always do.

As he got up to leave, Mason thanked Tim for buying him lunch, but made it clear that they wouldn’t be seeing him around anymore, as he was a ‘dead man walking’.

Though Sally tried to convince herself that he was just being dramatic, she couldn’t help but worry. Is Mason in danger?
