A Sunday lunch down the pub has always be a tradition but now Wetherspoons seems to have locked down the market on breakfast.
For those of us who don’t want to spend £40 on some avocado toast (since it’s the only thing keeping us off the property ladder) Wetherspoon’s Sunday brunch options have plenty of hearty fare to tuck into without breaking the bank.
And their brekkies are proving most popular with punters around the UK.
The menu is pretty extensive, and you can get American-style pancakes, Greek yoghurt with fresh fruit, porridge with banana and honey, smoked salmon, cream cheese and rocket bagel and of course a full English.
Vegetarians are also well catered-for, and most things can be adapted to suit your dietary needs.
Sounds perfect, right? Well, only if you get there on time.
Wetherspoon’s serves breakfast from opening to 12pm daily.
But that all changes on Sunday.
On Sunday you can get an all day brunch option until 11pm.
You can view the breakfast menu here.
Opening times vary by location, and can be subject to change on special occasions.
Lavazza coffees are served all day (and you get an unlimited supply of the stuff if you’re sitting in), and Wetherspoon’s have introduced self-service machines so you don’t even have to ask at the bar for your free refills.
There is a hack if you’re one of the lazy weekenders who refuses to see daylight before noon. On Sunday Wetherspoon pubs have a Sunday Brunch menu which is served all day.
This includes a full breakfast with chips – both meaty and vegetarian – or various steak and egg combinations.
You’ll also be able to get lunch after 12pm every other day, if you can bear not having a traditional brekkie.
