As we build Dopples World, we’re constantly thinking about how to design moments that surprise players in unexpected ways. Whether it’s discovering hidden features, seeing how different elements interact with each other, or finding creative uses for various mechanics - the game is full of interactions that one might not even think of trying. Let's talk about games! When it comes to developing a game, Giedrius, TutoTOONS game developer, always has an idea of how to make it more fun and interesting 🎮 Giedrius agreed to share a list of his favorite games and dive deeper into what makes them simply the best! 👍 🎮 "Quake 2" - I told my friends that I would play this game all my life, that's how much I liked it. With the number of movement techniques you had to learn to stay competitive at this game, I think the closest thing I can compare to is learning how to play piano (p.s. I do not play piano). Also, a trend that involved various explosive guns to make super complicated long-range jumps added even more to the competitive gameplay. 🎮 "Tomb Raider" - I played most of the games in the series. I enjoyed solving environmental puzzles and exploring the environment. The climbing and grabbing on-to-things mechanics worked very well for this game. The first games had quirky controls, making it extremely hard to make precise movement, a critical element of the game. However, the gameplay outweighed the problematic controls. 🎮 "Lineage 2" - now, when I look back, it was my first "work" experience because of the amount of grinding you had to do to achieve something in the game. Though, it did not feel this way when I was in my teen years. The game's social aspect stood out the most, where you could find like-minded players, form a party, and raid bosses at 2 AM. Now, I'm back into my childhood games for "round 2", this time with my kids.
