This is an entry-level Business Analyst position accountable for determining business needs and translating them into functional specifications.
In this role, one will define systems scope, objectives, and functionality based on user input and understanding of business processes.
Provides the basis for the design or modification of information systems through business analysis and document requirements.
Typically assigned work on more moderate complexity and/or impact/risk projects/systems.
This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) Business Analysis Services team.

Requirements Gathering
Documenting Process Flows
Creating Technical Specification documentation
Mentoring and promoting skill development and best practices across BA teams
Developing and completing Quality Assurance Test Scripts
Supporting User Acceptance Testing
Serving as a liaison between business clients and developers
Facilitating delivery and continuing improvement effort
Interpreting functionality requirements

Ability to create and understand process diagrams, flowcharts, and business models.
Ability to identify and define the scope, objectives, and functionality of a project.
Ability to translate technical terminology into easy-to-understand terms.
Skill in outlining project scope, objectives, and functionality.
Skill in translating business processes into information technology requirements.
Ability to assess situations including risks and benefits, receive feedback from stakeholders, and select a course of action.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Successful background check results are required for employment in this position.
