Frequently asked questions

Our team works hard to get your orders shipped on time! During the Holidays, we get busy and shipping times may vary.

Some rules before placing an order to keep in mind:

  1. We generally pack orders within two days of receiving an order - sometimes less.
  2. We do not deliver Saturday through Monday to avoid products being stored in an uncontrolled climate shipping facility.
  3. We unfortunately cannot deliver to PO Boxes and do not ship internationally


In general, orders are available for pickup within 2 business days. All orders can be picked up at Restaurant Gabriel Kreuther (41 W 42nd St, New York, NY 10036).

  • Orders placed by 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday are available for pickup as early as the next business day between 12-5 p.m.
  • Orders placed by 6 p.m. Friday are available for pickup on Mondays between 12-5 p.m.
  • Orders placed on Saturdays and Sundays are available for pickup on Tuesdays between 12-5 p.m.

Kreuther Handcrafted Chocolate is not responsible for orders that are unclaimed after 48 hours and no refunds will be issued.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email confirmation. Once a tracking link is added, you will then receive another email notifying you your order is on its way! You may track your order at any time on the FedEx website with the tracking number provided. You can also sign up for text alerts if you’ve created a Shopify account and checked out through our website.

Once the package has left our facility, Kreuther Handcrafted Chocolate cannot assume responsibility for any shipping delays/problems due solely to the shipping carrier. In order to facilitate delivery, you may add additional information such as an apartment, suite, or floor number to your selected delivery address.

We do not ship packages over weekends to avoid products being stored in an uncontrolled climate shipping facility.

For orders placed Thursday through Saturday, we ship the orders on Mondays, and orders placed on Sunday and Monday are shipped on Tuesdays.

We do not ship online orders internationally but are happy to discuss overseas destinations. Send detailed information to [email protected] and a member of our team will contact you.

Chocolates should be stored at room temperature (65 - 70F) in low humidity for up to 4 weeks (wine refrigerators are a great storage option). We do not recommend refrigerating your chocolates, but if you choose to, we suggest letting them reach room temperature before enjoying. Detailed care instructions for all of our products can be found on their respective pages.

Kreuther Handcrafted Chocolate used the finest quality ingredients and does not use preservatives of any kind; therefore, we recommend consuming our products within the recommended time frame on our product pages. 

To ensure your chocolate and confections arrive in the best possible condition, we include ice packs and insulated packaging in all orders.

Deliveries during any holiday are based on FedEx operational hours. If you have any questions about holiday deliveries, please contact our team at [email protected].

Kreuther Handcrafted Chocolate is NOT responsible for packages stolen or damaged after they are delivered to the address specified by the customer. We suggest shipping to a daytime/business location whenever possible. Kreuther Handcrafted Chocolate will not refund purchases if the product is damaged or melted after the first delivery attempt or if it is returned to us by our shipping carrier.

Our packages are shipped with a Signature Release, which allows FedEx to leave packages without a signature. We found that this policy works best for most of our clients. This avoids the possibility of chocolate being held overnight in an uncontrolled climate shipping facility where it's quality may be affected.
