The FCS is designed to receive high-voltage power from the Gorgon natural gas facility on Barrow Island and supply low-voltage power to the production module installed in the Jansz-Io Field, while also controlling the subsea production module. With over 30 years of project and construction management experience in the Offshore and Oil and Gas sectors, Cyril brings a wealth of knowledge and a fresh perspective to our leadership team. An international leader with over 20 years of foreign worldwide assignments, he has held various leadership roles at SBM Monaco, SBM Malaysia, Technip Malaysia, and Stat Marine in Abu Dhabi. Cyril successfully managed various Offshore construction projects in Malaysia and Abu Dhabi including the Total ABK project in Abu Dhabi and the first successful construction of a SPAR platform in Malaysia, achieving significant technical milestones in the region. As Group Project Management Teams Director at SBM, Cyril managed a team of about 200 members, defining project management methodologies, processes, and tools, which were applied globally to lead organizational integration. Cyril is also the Founder and Director of Cydconsult where he has consulted in the fields of Project Management, Risk Management, and Transition Management as well as for various teams and management training programs in Monaco. In his role at Hanwha Ocean, Cyril will lead the fundamental improvement of the Offshore Business Unit’s project management capabilities and practices and will manage all phases of ongoing projects to ensure they are successfully completed on time and within budget. 🔸Hanwha Drilling announces first contract with Constellation, securing a $500 million deal for drillship Tidal Action 🔸Tidal Action to commence operations in Brazil's Roncador field in Q3 2025 Hanwha Drilling is delighted to announce that in conjunction with our partner, Constellation Oil Services Holding S.A., we have been awarded our first contract for the Tidal Action worth approximately $500 million. The drillship is currently being reactivated in the Hanwha Ocean shipyard and will commence operations for Petrobras in the 3rd Quarter of 2025. It will be deployed to the Roncador field in the Campos Basin offshore of Brazil. This contract, which is part of our strategy to nurture a strong and long-lasting partnership with Petrobras, will be for 30 months plus some optional periods. Given the scope of work and timing, this contract is an ideal fit for the Tidal Action. Tidal Action will be managed by our partner, Constellation. We are excited to partner with Constellation with its history of operational performance, quality people and excellent relationships with its customers. 🚢 South Korea Launches Its First U.S. Navy Ship MRO Project, Opening a New Era of Defense Cooperation Between the Two Nations (Korea-U.S.) On September 2nd, a historic moment unfolded at Hanwha Ocean’s Geoje Shipyard, marking a new chapter in defense cooperation between South Korea and the United States. A U.S. Navy logistics support ship entered the Hanwha Ocean Geoje Shipyard for MRO(Maintenance, Repair, and Operation) work, a first for any South Korean shipyard. The U.S. Navy logistics support ship, which Hanwha Ocean won a contract to service, arrived at the Geoje Shipyard to undergo comprehensive maintenance. The arrival of the ship, which is expected to be a milestone in the history of Korea-U.S. defense collaboration, was witnessed by over 50 representatives from both nations, including officials from the U.S. Navy Military Sealift Command, South Korea’s Ministry of National Defense, the Defense Acquisition Program Administration. The vessel, named the USNS Wally Schirra, plays a crucial role in resupplying ammunition, food, repair parts, and fuel to other naval vessels during operations. It has a displacement of approximately 40,000 tons, with a length of 210 meters and a beam of 32.2 meters. Hanwha Ocean stated, “We are proud to be the first Korean shipyard to undertake the MRO project for a U.S. Navy vessel.
