This works because the LinkedIn algorithm works based on who presses read more + actually reads + likes/comments So by having a good hook, you're essentially 1/3 of the way to a great performing post. A post that did great will have more post impressions/views which can then in turn increase your call booking rate. (if you're posting correctly) Over the next few days or weeks I'll be doing some more LinkedIn experiments. Wonder what the read more to impressions ratio this post will get. Hopefully a good amount? P.S: not saying the hook on this post is good at all, i'm 'experimenting'.

AI Builder’s release today is the most exciting one I’ve ever done. I’m not super technical, but Domas built something that empowers a non-techy like me to create. If you haven’t heard, we’re building Superinterface—an AI UI infrastructure that helps you build and deploy AI assistants on your website (and makes it more fun, hopefully!). And today, we’ve officially launched our AI (interface) Builder. I can just tell it to make my AI assistant look more fun, animated, wider, narrower, dark, light—whatever—and it just does it. Add a button here or there, no problem. It’s still in beta, so you’ll probably run into an error or two while trying it. But when it works, it’s surprisingly amazing. Most people we’ve shown it to got it right away and looked impressed, and, that made us even more hyped. So if you’re building AI assistants, try it out and DM me what what you think (or what you built!) ✨

Tencent's WeChat minigames business is phenomenal - not only did it grow 50% last year, but the company takes 40% (!!!) of IAP revenue from these games 🤯 However, ByteDance's Douyin is making a major play for developers as the Chinese minigame market keeps getting hotter. WeChat is in the lead now, but Douyin is offering 90%/10% revenue share. 📱 As legacy titles like Arena of Valor (Honor of Kings) and Peacekeeper Elite (Game for Peace) decline, Tencent is investing heavily across a variety of new gaming sectors, not just minigames: - It's market-leading LLM, Hunyuan, is already integrated into its burgeoning ad business - International games, including those from Riot Games and Supercell, make up an increasingly large percentage of gaming revenue - Tencent Cloud's game development services are powering 2024's breakout hit Palworld 🤑 I read through Tencent's latest earnings report, and lots of Chinese game industry websites, to bring you up to speed on the changing strategy of gaming's largest company. In news today, #ChatGPT are announcing a search engine. This seems pretty soon - so I doubt they've built the infrastructure needed - they're most likely running on Google or Bing, like Perplexity is. One of the biggest misconceptions about SEO and Search is that people think that search engines grade, rank, judge, score content - this is impossible. Whether content is "good" or not depends on the user, the time, the need and the content. None of these things are present unless a user is and none of these things are consistent or constant - which makes it subjective. But content cant be ranked this way - so Google uses its objective system around PageRank. Kling is a text to video service, like Sora. It's offered by Kuaishou, a Chinese company with about 300M daily users focused on short form video and streaming. Some observations of Kling: 5 sec clips 3 min generation time close too, but not quite Sora quality eating is hard for many current video diffusion tools, and Kling does pretty well, imo (FYI, I don't have access, this is from their website, links in the comments) btw: how did those cheeks fill up so fast?

Dingdong! Dropbox has implemented the fully-featured Files app integration we've all been waiting for. Previously, Dropbox folders appeared greyed out in file pickers. They had other priorities. With their recent update, they're now fully accessible. Thank you, Dropbox. This means seamless integration between Dropbox and iA Writer across iOS, iPadOS, macOS and Windows. Time to celebrate! iA Writer had Dropbox since V1. When Dropbox discontinued the 2nd API and wanted everyone to create the 3rd client side custom sync, we asked ourselves: Another buggy API that still required extensive workarounds, maintenance and leads to data loss, we'd get blamed for? No. About 15% of our users relied on Dropbox. Deciding not to develop our own Dropbox syncing and waiting for them to properly implement it on the OS level was one of the most agonizing decisions we've ever made. We were never really happy with our decision, because it was a tough often final no to a lot of our earliest and most engaged users. But it was nevertheless the better decision of two unpleasant ones. What Dropbox now offers is the proper Dropbox and Apple way to do it. Document syncing is not our core competence, it's theirs, and doing it on OS level is their sales proposition, their responsibility and their business. Now waiting for Google Drive to follow up and do the same.
