It is possible to say “100 years of life” thanks to Linda Gratton. However, this does not mean total energy, intelligence, and stamina will last until 100 years old. We need to finish our unfinished homework before the “best-before date.” Suppose you are content to sit in the “audience” and talk about idealism and critique the actions of others, no problem. But you must take risks and go to the field to get results. Because to hit a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning, you need to be on the field, at least. It also requires outstanding talent, extraordinary effort to develop that talent, and luck to get a chance to bat at the right time. Luck does not come from being in the stands. By the way, a unique company, Launchstarz, supports Japanese startups in expanding to the U.S. Last Thursday (8/22), I had an opportunity to speak at their event, “Rising Starz. Entrepreneur Meetup 2024,” organized by Satoshi Miyagawa and Kenny Lum from Lauchstarz. Yoichi Ito, Dean of the Department of Entrepreneurship at Musashino University (Musashino EMC = Entrepreneurship Musashino Campus), was also there, and the event seemed to feature the Musashino EMC duo. I’m grateful to the two organizers. The theme of the event, in a word, was "Go Global."
