Meet Divle cave cheese—a rare delicacy from the Anatolian steppe in Turkey. Made with milk from sheep and goats grazing wild pastures, this cheese is salted, packed into goat or sheep skins, and aged in a 40-meter-deep cave. Over months, it develops a bold flavor and signature molds that make it truly one-of-a-kind. 🌟 This tradition has been passed down for centuries, but with fewer shepherds and changing times, it’s at risk. That’s why the Divle cave cheese Presidium is working to protect this culinary heritage and support the cheesemakers keeping it alive. 💡 Want to learn more and support this project? 🐝✨ "Stingless, but mighty: Meet Bolivia’s native bees!" ✨🐝 Did you know some bees don’t sting? Deep in Bolivia’s Serranía del Iñao National Park, species like Señorita and Tancarillo are essential pollinators for tropical plants, playing a critical role in preserving biodiversity and supporting local ecosystems. Traditional knowledge to produce honey from local plants has been passed down from generation to generation by the meliponiculturist women of the region, starting with the Guarani women. But deforestation, fires, and intensive agriculture threaten the survival of these bees and the delicate balance of their environment. That’s why the Stingless Native Bee Presidium is stepping in—teaching sustainable practices like eco-friendly hives, recovering natural nests, and empowering communities to protect these incredible pollinators. 🌳 💡 Learn more about this inspiring project and how you can help preserve biodiversity and support sustainable honey production.
