Ieri abbiamo avuto un incontro del progetto MAGRITTE, un'iniziativa guidata da TESSILQUATTRO S.P.A. di Aquafil Group, con il supporto di ProM Facility di Trentino Sviluppo S.p.A., Caracol AM, il Polymers & Composites Lab - UniTN dell' Università di Trento ed Indivenire, supportato dalla Provincia Autonoma di Trento. Il progetto si concentra sullo sviluppo di un materiale basato sul polimero ECONYL® brand, progettato per la #stampa3D di grandi dimensioni. L'obiettivo è testare nuove formulazioni che, a differenza di quanto presente oggi sul mercato, potranno essere riciclate totalmente. The study trip to Slovenia for our Master's students in Industrial Engineering for Sustainable Manufacturing at DPIA UNIUD - Dipartimento Politecnico di Ingegneria e Architettura provided a unique opportunity to explore the practical applications of #circularity in the textile and energy sectors. At the Aquafil Group's plants in Ajdovščina and Ljubljana, we saw first-hand how raw materials can be effectively managed and how polymer recycling plays a crucial role in #sustainablepractices. We experienced industrial #energysymbiosis by visiting the BTC d.d. trading centre, which cleverly uses waste heat from the Aquafil Group to heat the Atlantic Water Park and other premises. Aquafil S.p.A. announces the successful completion of its share capital increase through a rights issue, with nearly 100% of the new shares subscribed. Urquiola to be among-us at Heimtextil Renowned designer Patricia Urquiola design is to present a special 7,000sqft design installation at Heimtextil, designed to spark conversations about design, sustainability and conviviality. Together with partners such as Kettal, Moroso, cc-tapis, Aquafil Group, Cimento and Parà Tempotest, Urquiola has developed among-us fpr the exhibition, which will include double-sided hanging carpet structures, lounge islands and individually manufactured seating furniture. ‘The name among-us conveys a sense of conviviality and shared experiences – something that happens “between us” or “in our midst”. It also alludes to a line of small fungus-like toy creatures,’ says Urquiola. A grid-shaped rug defines the installation. Within the grid, visitors encounter softly upholstered, anthropomorphic textile forms that invite to touch, relax and enable a sensory engagement with the materials. This approach highlights Urquiola's take on materiality and combines conventional and unconventional elements to push the boundaries of textile design. ‘Heimtextil is a perfect fit for us. It offers the opportunity to create a two-way dialog that begins during the trade fair and continues throughout the year. We are not only addressing specialists, but everyone who is interested in textiles. Our approach is evolutionary and aims for comprehensive interaction.
