About us
Apeejay Institute of Design (AID) is a Premier Institute in the area of Design Education. It was established by the renowned Industrial House of Apeejay Stya in 1991 with the mission to nurture and promote Art, Culture and Design. AID is a specialist institution conducting various Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate programmes. The Institute offers a kaleidoscope of Design specializations – Fashion Design, Interior Design, Graphic Design and Animation & Multimedia. The involvement of research and design thinking goes hand in hand at AID. The Institute aims at developing aptitude and skills through a process of seeing, exploring, awareness, analysis, problem solving and communication, with an aim to prepare today's youth to be tomorrow’s industry trained professionals. Our industry-oriented teaching methodology has enabled us in training many students over the years who are proving their design competencies in various fields of the creative world. AID has a dedicated internship and placement global network and industry interface. Our students have earned good positions with many global brands such as Marks & Spencer, London; Zone One International, Shanghai’ Timberland Store, Italy; LTB Jeans, Istanbul; Capital Interiors Design, Dubai and DE Sweden AB, Sweden, to name a few. Many of our alumni have established their own brands and become entrepreneurs.
