Trump For President 2024, Inc. will do with the USA solar industry if he comes to power again in the next election in November 2024. I believe Donald Trump might ban solar panel imports not only from China but also from India and other countries. This would serve two purposes: first, it would give breathing space to the coal, oil, and gas traditional energy generation industries and help save jobs in those sectors. Second, it would speed up domestic manufacturing in solar and related industries, creating more local jobs. So, Which countries should Indian solar module manufacturers target as their next export destinations? Australia could be one, and maybe Japan. What do you think friends? What’s your opinion? Green Ammonia tenders significantly advance India’s climate goals, benefiting SECI even more than anticipated. Here is how? #SECI charges #success #fees on per MW basis for RE #auctions and Per Tonne basis for #GreenHydrogen or #GreenAmmonia tenders. Currently, SECI charges ₹ 0.1 million per MW for RE tenders and ₹ 500 per MT for Green Ammonia. 739 KTPA of Green Ammonia (tender process going on) if gets tendered out successfully, SECI will collect ₹ 370 million (ex. GST) from successful bidders. To put this into perspective, 739 KTPA of Green Ammonia will require ~3,000 MW which if tendered could have resulted in ₹ 300 million in success fees for SECI. Plus, SECI acts as trader and signs back to back contracts with both seller and buyer of electricity or Green Ammonia as the case may be. For RE PPAs, SECI charges trading margin of ₹0.07 per kWh For Green Ammonia, it will charge ₹ 2 per kg which translates to ₹ 0.2 per kWh (1 kg ammonia needs ~ 10 kWh of electricity) 3X jump in margins.
