Digitalisation of the Indian economy is propelling data consumption in India. By 2025, India's per capita data consumption is projected to become the largest globally. Moreover, data center capacity is on track to double from 870 MW in 2022 to 1800 MW by 2025, with data center infrastructure shifting from cities to tier 2/3 cities. Attended a session of “Padma Shri - Savji Dhanji Dholakia, chairman of Hari Krishna Exports, a diamond manufacturing and exporting company. Lot to learn from this gentleman. He ensure following : 1) Employees motivation is the key to success. Their family motivation to be considered as well with family tour and gifts. 2) Every business should be socially responsible and contribute to society in some way . Plant trees as much as possible. 3) Investing in Education and so on. He believes that success is not just about making money, but also about giving back to the community and creating a positive impact on society. Unique idea of sending his children to a new city to earn on their own without established support, so that they learn to value money and learn the art of earning on their own.

As we commemorate India’s 78th Independence Day, it is an opportune moment to reflect on our nation’s remarkable journey of growth and development. From the stroke of midnight on 15th August 1947, when we came together as a nation with one destiny, to today where we have set our sights on a Viksit Bharat, India has come a long way. Back then we were a predominantly agrarian economy. Today, we are the fastest growing major economy in the world; and are slated to be a USD 7 trillion economy by 2030. The world is watching this ascent as we take forward strides with landmark development policies, a thrust on self-reliance, a thriving start-up ecosystem, technological innovation, robust infrastructure and so much more.  Yet, our progress is not merely measured in economic terms. It is seen in the power of our cultural capital that finds admiration in far corners of the globe – be it our films, music, or art. Our scientific breakthroughs are held in high esteem – who can forget Chandrayaan-3 landing on the south pole of the moon last year! Further, the strength of our institutions, and the resilience of our democracy attest to our evolution as a nation.  However, the journey to Viksit Bharat will require us to reassess ourselves, and recalibrate our approach. What has got us here, will it get us there? In the 78 years since independence we have built the framework for our development, but it is what we do from today till 2047 that will truly count. Inclusive development will be a key factor propelling us forward, for it is when all of us are empowered to contribute can India realise her true potential. There’s much to be thought of and much to be done, and I hope today will serve as a catalyst for us to get our collective vision into motion. Happy 78th Independence Day!

Dr Sanjeev Dixit’s “soul of a monk” series It is often said and highlighted that “ Failure is stepping stone for success” which is true provided one is learning from his/her failure insightfully and instinctively. #GST in 2017 and #einvoicing in 2020 were two breakthrough reforms that have streamlined administration and propelled tax collections in India. The industry was not ready to adopt the buyer - seller collaboration practice of accepting/rejecting invoices for ITC settlement when GST was launched in 2017. Thus GSTR2 and GSTR3 had to make way for #GSTR2A/2B and #GSTR3B. The Invoice Management System #IMS will be the next breakthrough that will take us to a regime of invoice level accounting and real time collaboration thereby reducing disputes and notices in the long run. Surely there are many business practices (especially around credit notes and RCM) that need clarification but IMS is a great step towards going back to the original concept of GSTR2 but in a different design. #TaxTransformation brought by #GSTN in a country of the scale, size and diversity as ours is a case study for rest of the world to adopt. Picture an India where harnessing energy efficiently isn't just a choice but more of a societal norm. Imagine a landscape where every Indian proudly leads the charge in curbing electricity consumption, all while enhancing their quality of life through the adoption of home appliances that redefine convenience. Envision an India where each individual embodies the spirit of 'Urja Dakshta Veer'. Energy efficiency often takes a backstage in our daily routines. It's ironic how, amidst our bustling lives, we overlook the impact our actions have on the planet. At the same time, unknowingly, many of our endeavors contribute to combating climate change. While walking out leaving the Acs on have their adverse effects, our choices to buy expensive appliances that may incidentally be more efficient, we are helping the cause. The responsibility doesn't solely rest on individuals; it's a collective challenge. In today's fast-paced world, staying present and self-aware is a struggle. Amidst the barrage of emails, social media notifications, and the allure of multitasking, mindful decision-making becomes elusive. It's a daunting task to be conscious of the consequences of our choices in real-time. If we struggle to prioritize health over indulgent street food, how can we expect ourselves to prioritize actions that may not impact us immediately but affect future generations detrimentally? Heavily discounting the future is a human tenet, and when that discounting is applied on adverse effects on someone other than us (read, future generations), the discounting rate only increases. This inherent human trait militates against the concept of total cost of ownership. Often, our decisions regarding comfort appliances prioritize upfront costs over long-term operational savings. However, there are lessons to be learned from brands that prioritize efficiency over flashy features, maintaining their appeal despite market trends. Take for example, a specific car brand that still maintains their USP of higher mileage (lower operational costs) at a time when the market is flooded with a high volume of feature-loaded cars that perhaps, on a broader scale, are not focussed on fuel efficiency as their driving Sales parameter. It gives confidence when minimalism, as a thought process, is gaining momentum. Similarly, in an era dominated by consumerism, environmental consciousness is gradually gaining traction, particularly among the youth. As this awareness permeates society, inch by inch, it moves closer to becoming the norm. It's only a matter of time before energy efficiency takes center stage. We are now at a time where sustainability can’t just be a buzzword but has to become a way of life. Together, we can steer India towards a brighter, more energy-efficient future.
