Layoffs is a part and parcel of the 🎯 From your 20's to 40's... One thing that I believe someone has to do is keep adding different skills at multiple job roles from the time you get in your 20's and by the time you reach your 40's you have multiple fronts open at your side, that's the best way. So even if you get laid off and you do not want to start something on your own you are still having that opportunity to be creative and hireable for others. Getting laid off is a process and someone who gets laid off in most of the cases knows it way before this situation comes, so you also have to be proactive and decide if you want to get asked *leave* or You want to take a call and say *Good bye* As a sales person who is now reaching in 40's I have learned this from my profession and keep opening multiple fronts it helps you when you do sales individually or with a team, Career is no more different you are *selling your self and striking a deal for an annual turnover for yourself* so you should always have multiple fronts open and that can happen only with multiple knowledgeable stuff that you learn during the years of work 😉👍 #career #careergrowth #laidoff #google #professionaldevelopment #professionalgrowth #startup

NPS is on the chopping block, but is it all that bad ❓ Diya Sikka, Director, NPSx at Bain & Company (who founded the NPS score) breaks down when NPS works and when it doesn’t. Many companies have fallen into the trap of believing that NPS = business health. When in reality, that means nothing if it’s not tied to revenue. Time block for success - Just like you block time for prospecting calls or team meetings, schedule workouts as non-negotiable calendar events. Protect that time - it’s not a distraction. Count it as an investment in your performance.

Yesterday, I had an insightful conversation with a VP of Customer Success from a well-known SaaS company based in Bangalore. We were discussing strategies around upsell and cross-sell, and she shared a fantastic example of the power of subtle nudges. Her team noticed one of their long-standing customers was steadily increasing their use of automation features—a strong indicator that they might benefit from more advanced capabilities. But rather than pushing an upsell directly, her CSM decided to take a softer approach. During a regular check-in, the CSM casually shared a success story about a similar customer who had upgraded and saw a significant boost in productivity. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝. 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡, 𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐩. The CSM even highlighted a few specific premium features that would align with the customer's current growth phase, like advanced analytics and additional integrations. This was all done in a way that showed they understood the customer’s journey and were there to support it. The result? Within a quarter, the customer upgraded, excited by the potential impact on their operations. They even went on to explore cross-sell options in other areas. The VP and I both agreed: 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐭𝐥𝐞, 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐧𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞-𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬. Upselling and cross-selling don’t have to be about pushing products—it’s about helping customers realize the full potential of what’s available to them.
