Ok DTC guys let me put this straight, you don't have to add both cold and retargeting audience in the same PMax asset group. Because by doing this you will never know the true ROAS of your individual audiences. And hence you won't know whether to scale the campaign in case of cold audience. And you won't know which creatives are relevant for retargeting audiences. I see a lot of lazy marketers putting all possible audiences into a single PMax asset group. Pls don't be lazy

Facebook audience selection is tough. I thought so too but let's talk about what's important since some of you guys asked me about it. Basics - 1. Audience Interest - Don't overcomplicate it. Keep it broader so that you have a higher chance of reaching a volume. 2. Creative - What works for us is brighter colour copies so maybe try A/B testing with your ad creatives. 3. Copy - Here's a tip on our copies, generally it's the second thing people see. We call out our TG eg. If you cater to Architects then your opening statement should be "Are you an Architect looking for xyz?/ Hey Architects," This is a lot more personalised to filter out people in a broader audience set. These are the 3 pillars that we follow in MARQN's ad sets. And it's a lot of trial and error so just go back and forth with these pillars and see what works for you and your clients.

Imagine you are an agency who cares that your DTC clients brand grow. So you give them a ton of raw feedback on their current situation. But in India it seems most of such feedback hurts the brand owners' ego. Instead of taking it as a feedback for their business and brand. They take it as a personal remark in most cases. And that's one of the worst qualities to have as an entrepreneur. In business and in life you become big when you drop your ego. And develop an appetite for constructive feedback. No agency wants to make sure they hurt your personal sentiments. They only want the best for your brand. But I guess this kind of insecurities are deep rooted in Indian culture from few generations in the past. Though such things must not impact business. As a DTC brand owner you should be surrounding yourself with proven marketers. And then let them do their job. Give them a budget, timeline and target. But don't piss them off so much that they start hating on you as a client. Marketers : is the application of #FOMO good for every promotion? I feel it is excessively being used by businesses and negatively hitting consumer experience. Take for example 2 or 3 day sale on eCommerce websites from time to time. Till date I personally haven't found any item worthwhile despite seeing so much of promotion everywhere, including the influencers on Instagram, FB and YT jumping with joy waiting for the sale to happen and encouraging everyone to participate. It is time businesseses stop misguiding people into paying for things that might not benefit them, or pay excessively basis the fear.
