Feeling disheartened after seeing the MP tourism ad #KabhigayaebhihoMP. A clear example of lacking effective #MarketSegmentation. Despite being 2.56 minutes long, the ad missed the #valueproposition of MP. It touched on national parks and historical monuments, with a brief mention of pilgrimage site, but lacked a clear #productdifferentiator. 1. Interestingly, food tourism, which makes up approximately 15% of the tourism market, was not highlighted. Indore, being considered the food capital of the nation, presents a fantastic opportunity to draw in food enthusiasts 2. The state could shine as a "spiritual triangle," focusing on its top three Hindu pilgrimage destinations: Ujjain, Maheshwar, and Omkareshwar. Spiritual and religious tourism contributes 50%-60% of tourism in India. This is a great reminder of the importance of thorough #competitveresearch and truly experiencing the product before marketing it. The workshop was facilitated by Neha Bhargava under the 'Learn from Leaders' initiative. The workshop was an eye-opener for me in terms of developing my writing skills. I have been wondering with Irina Mostovaya, CCXP and Tanuj Diwan how to ask the #NPS question in Hindi (or whether anybody even asks it).
