Copy and paste the AI generated content to where you are going to publish it. Hit post, send whatever. Please note: It is important to remember NOT to edit the AI generated content. Because if you do then you are insulting the creativity of AI who took a few seconds to create the masterpiece that you are about to pass off as your own work. I see posts from freelance writers complaining about agencies asking for free test articles all the time. I truly feel for them as there are a lot of shady people in all industries nowadays, but as I also deal with freelance writers virtually every single day, I also have something to say on the matter. We have worked with hundreds of freelance writers over the last few years and as we always strive to offer the highest quality content to our clients, we have to ensure they can meet our high standards before we start working with them. The process continues as our Content Editors meticulously fact-check and proofread every piece of content before it is sent to our clients, but let’s focus on the onboarding process here. We ask all writers who apply to send us samples of their iGaming work and their rates, but we also require 1-2 test articles before we make a final decision. We have no way of knowing whether the samples they initially sent were actually written by them and not someone else or an AI tool, so we have to see how they perform in an actual test. This way we can check the quality of content, the flow, how well they incorporated client guidelines, their responsiveness, and most importantly, how they respond to feedback. If they check all of the above, but start getting defensive when constructive criticism goes their way, we don’t want to work with them. We always make it perfectly clear that this is a paid test and ensure the articles never take more than 1 business day to produce. I understand the writers need to make an effort, spend their time and it is not fair they are not compensated for it. What is more, we pay them even if we cannot use the test article, i.e. it does not meet our standards. Just as clients shouldn’t pay for under-par content, I don’t think we should pay for content that is clearly way below the required quality, but we still pay them as I’d rather lose some money (cost of doing business) than listen to the backlash of disgruntled writers who think everybody is out to get them. I realise that with so many layoffs nowadays, there are thousands of writers looking for work and there are some people and companies looking to take advantage of them. That is why it would be smart to ask around about the company advertising the job/gig you are interested in, and LinkedIn is a pretty good platform to perform a background check and ask any writers who used to work with them for their experiences. But, this doesn’t mean that all agencies are bad and that you should reject any test articles/tasks right off the bat. How else do you think they can be sure you are as good as you claim to be? If I had hired every writer who claimed they were an amazing writer, our agency would have gone bust a long time ago.

"This #editor must think they're hot s###!" I know you've had this thought many, many times. How dare they correct your #writing? Who made them kings and queens of #content? What a nerve to make such suggestions. And what's with the crude language such as "change to", "add link", "correct typo"? And the red lines everywhere? Pffff! I know what you're thinking. You don't deliver content that has typos - but sometimes, you do. And I spot them miles away, unless they're mine! 😂 Please trust me when I say this: if someone is editing your work, they're out there to help you. Sure, they're helping themselves and their business first. But they are polishing up that content in a way that resonates with a bigger picture you, the #writer, sometimes don't realize. It's never personal. Well, it's RARELY personal. More often than not, the editor doesn't know the writer and may not even interact directly with them. What they have before them is a document that must attend to the company expectations. This week I'm editing someone's work. They know their stuff well, and I value that immensely, but the delivery is slightly off. There are occasions where there is no connection across some concepts, and some technical aspects can be improved. I believe in that person. I want him to succeed. I want US to succeed. The writer may hate me in the end. They're likely to come and visit my LinkedIn profile and think: "Pfff. Who made you king of content? How dare you? Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!" But I promise: I want him to succeed. His success is our success. So dear writers out there, this one's for you: I know it's not easy to take that feedback. What are the advantages of writing on Medium? I have been writing on Medium for two years. Before starting a career in Content Writing everyone has to create a portfolio. Two years ago I chose Medium for creating samples as well as a portfolio. The initial days were tough. I didn’t get any views, nobody read my articles. So, does it make sense to focus on these basic topics? Probably not. What the user wants is straightforward steps to build a portfolio, not an explanation of what it is. What is it (the topic) about? - 1 bigger idea.  - 1 core problem.  - 1 core solution. 2. Who is it for? - 1 set of a specific audience 3. THAT ONE THING MOST WRITERS COMPLAIN ABOUT Do friends or relatives often approach you, asking what you do for a living? And when you tell them you are a content writer, they may sigh, look perplexed, or simply blurt out, “Anyone can write.” If you are a freelancer, they may even request you to outsource some work, thinking, “Writing an article, how difficult can that be!” This is indeed a pain in the neck.  You may feel the urge to slap someone right in the face or take a jab at them. However, I wouldn't go so far as to slap someone in the face, though there are times when it is hard to resist that urge. However, you can take a more positive or constructive route. In my humble opinion, these encounters (especially when someone requests you to outsource work) are also an excellent opportunity to school them on what writing REALLY is.  Most writers, including myself, usually complain/highlight that others (relatives, friends, etc.) often say writing is easy or a walk in the park. Or just committing your thoughts to paper or a word processor. So, why not use these conversations to explain to these clueless souls what writing an article, web copy, or a white paper is all about? If you want to have some "fun" during these convos, throw around some complex words and terminology like buyer personas, customer avatars, market segmentation, pain points, meta description, Yoast plugins, CTAs, web crawlers, engaging hooks, blah blah blah, and that may be enough to dissuade them from bugging you in the future (it may scare the sh*t out of them). Plus, any mention of AI detection tools may have them run for their dear lives. Or they may invest some time and effort in understanding what content/copywriting is before approaching you.
