**"Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness." - Desmond Tutu** We are thrilled to announce that the Nomad Higher Education Scholarship, a Vanavil Trust program, is entering its 5th year, thanks to the generosity of two of our HNI donors. This scholarship, provided based on means and motivation for young people from Nomadic communities, has gained immense support from well-wishers. This year, we are proud to support 43 youngsters from three tribal communities. In May, we conducted two career guidance workshops for these students in Nagapattinam and Tindivanam. Our senior scholars who are in 2nd and 3rd years of college spoke in these meetings on how to prepare for admissions and college. Despite their fears, doubts, and confusions, these young individuals have chosen to pursue their dreams. Their ability to remain hopeful in the face of extreme odds has deepened our commitment to this cause. On a cloudy Sunday evening in Gandhinagar, Nagamangalam of Trichy, we proudly inaugurated the Vanavil Trust Children's Centre for children from the Boom Boom Maatukarar Nomadic Tribes. The event was graced by wonderful talks on the importance of education from esteemed educators and our elected panchayat president. Mr.Ramanujam T S the head of Capgemini for Trichy and Salem, served as the chief guest. He inspired the kids to pursue education and reach great heights, expressing his hope to recruit some of them into his company in the future. The centre was made possible through the generous support of Capgemini and it's employee run WeKare Society. The evening featured an open-air art show, displaying amazing artwork created by the children. A group of artists and art students led an art camp, guiding the kids in making paintings, masks, and more. Additionally, dedicated volunteers from Capgemini conducted a sports camp, teaching the children cricket and Silambam. It was a truly memorable day, celebrating the spirit of education, art, and sports. #qualityeducation #nomads #CSR #synergy
