🚨 #PublicationAlert We are excited to announce the launch of a first-of-its-kind framework to objectively distinguish between games of skill and games of chance. It was developed in collaboration with 𝗣𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗮 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶 𝗗𝗿. 𝗕𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝘆, 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, and with the support of the 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (AIGF). Co-authored by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵 (𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 & 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿 - 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲) and 𝗞𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗺 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝘃𝗶 (𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲), this framework is India's first comprehensive, objective approach designed to promote fairness and transparency among all stakeholders—players, developers, and regulators. The framework offers a quantitative extension to existing jurisprudence, providing an objective method to distinguish skill-based games from chance-based games. It helps bring legal clarity by differentiating legitimate platforms from illegitimate ones, ensuring fair competition and user protection. Additionally, it establishes an industry standard that fosters trust and credibility in the rapidly growing online gaming sector.
