We invite you to witness Paiwand’s “By the sea”, at Theregistryofsarees, Team Raw Collaborative Sense and Sensibilities Exhibit. A series of art pieces weaving a story of the vast yet quaint seaside. As Ashita Singhal explores her expression through lost craft techniques and upcycled textiles, she delves into the spectrum of characters held on by the sea. Be it the serene calmness of the gleaming beach, the quaint stillness and chilling breeze before the sea storm or the dense ingrowth of the delta.

I’m excited and humbled to begin my journey with Goldman Sachs 10000 women entrepreneurship program, in partnership with NSRCEL Indian Institute of Management Bangalore . The course has given me an incredible opportunity to study at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Growing up, I didn’t have many women entrepreneurs as role models. I always felt a bit lonely in this journey as I couldn’t relate to many. However, last week, I had the privilege of connecting with 60 inspiring wonderpreneurs from my cohort. From cancer survivors to women pursuing thru ventures in 60s, I’ve realised just how resilient and powerful we all are. I’m deeply grateful to IIMB professors their guidance, motivation and unwavering support. Paiwand Studio #10kwomen

Register Now https://lnkd.in/gkA5qzPc 𝘉𝘶𝘯𝘢𝘪 with Paiwand Studio is a weaving workshop that focuses within the terrain of sustainability and upcycling while diving into traditional craft practices. It’s with an aim to cultivate familiarity with the craft of handloom weaving with textiles that have been discarded, giving you an experience to revive forgotten bits and fragments. This workshop will give you inside access to learn one of the most innovative ways of upcycling weaving with demonstrations and walkthroughs of the processes by the artisans themselves. As a participant, you will also get to take home your own small loom complete with the wooden shuttle in a specially designed and upcycled tote bag by Paiwand Studio. This workshop is a part of ‘A Series of Workshops to Get Your Hands Dirty’, a creative-led workshop spanning art, design, textiles, architecture and gastronomy, framed within the overarching framework of “collecting” both the “precious” and the “discarded”—and how techniques of sorting, re-framing and renewing can create something wholly new.

The strokes of Paiwand | Treescape - 5 ft. By 5 ft. The Artwork is created with upcycled cotton waste, where the waste is cut into thin strips and twisted by hand by the house technique “Gathni” or Knotting. These strips are then woven on age old handloom to create the texture of the textile. The recipient has framed it to become a centerpiece in their gorgeous home. #texturedfabric #paiwand #textileart #upcycledfabrics #handloomtextiles #traditionaltechniques #artinspiration

Postcard from Mallorca || When we witness something beautiful our first instinct tells us to capture it so we can share that beauty with our loved ones. But on her vacation visit to Mallorca, Spain this year Ashita Singhal decided to keep her phone away and tried to capture the beauty around through weaving on a miniature loom and the experience of capturing this is somewhat of an Artful healing. Spot the blues for sky, the yellow and greens for the greenery around. You can enquire about our weaving kits in our DMs. #weaving #miniature #beauty #artfulhealing #mindfulness
