Varanasi Smart City’s Initiatives: D Vasudevan shared valuable insights into the ongoing projects in Varanasi, where data-driven approaches and smart water systems have been integrated to optimize water distribution and wastewater management, helping the city improve both water quality and efficiency. Digital Twin Technology for Water Networks: Both speakers highlighted the growing adoption of Digital Twin technology, which offers a virtual replica of water systems, enabling real-time monitoring and better decision-making for maintenance and management of water infrastructure. Integration of GIS and Remote Sensing: The discussion also covered how GIS and remote sensing technologies are helping utilities manage water resources more effectively. Speakers shared global insights on AI, Big Data, predictive maintenance, and digital twins, highlighting how India can integrate these technologies for better real-time monitoring, risk assessment, and rail operations management. 𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐯 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐚𝐝𝐡𝐲𝐚𝐲, Principal, Chief Signal & Telecommunication Engineer, South Central Railway presented how South Central Railway is leveraging digital technologies to improve safety and connectivity, especially through innovations in signal and telecommunication systems.   A. Sanjeeva Rao, IRSEE, PMP, LLB, Director - Centre of Excellence - Kavach Indian Railways highlighted Kavach, the indigenous train collision avoidance system developed by Indian Railways, and its role in enhancing railway safety across the country. He also touched on the Centre of Excellence's efforts in integrating AI and Big Data for improved operations. Brahmam Gorugantu, Co-Founder and CTO, NeoGeoInfo Technologies Pvt Ltd provided a global perspective on railway safety, focusing on how NeoGeoInfo Technologies is applying AI, IoT, and digital solutions to enhance rail safety protocols.
