Sometimes the most precious gift one can give is time. Yesterday, that’s what DCM Shriram employees did as they drew, painted, cut and made interesting and colourful learning materials for underprivileged children. They all volunteered under WeVolunteer - DCM Shriram Volunteering Program to participate in the effort towards the Khushali Shiksha program, an initiative by DCM Shriram Foundation, along with the program implementation partner Pratham Education Foundation. It was a wonderfully rewarding day of work and creativity for a great cause! FINNET 2024 brought together Accounts & Finance teams with a spotlight on exploring storytelling as a tool of impactful communication and the role of Artificial Intelligence in enhancing our work. Setting the tone for this exploration, our Group CFO, Mr. Amit Agarwal, introduced the theme for the event, emphasizing the "2 S": Soft Skills and Software Skills – the foundation for driving innovation, collaboration, and success in today’s dynamic landscape. Other highlights of the offsite included best practice sharing by teams across Business A&F and Corporate Functions, followed by an inspiring session with our Joint Managing Director Mr. Ajit Shriram, where he stressed the importance of adopting digital technologies to thrive in today’s VUCA world. A workshop on Storytelling by Mr. Sandeep Das, underscored how stories can be a powerful medium for clear and effective communication. The event concluded with a collaborative brainstorming session to identify key focus areas for the year ahead. The event also celebrated excellence, as some team members were recognized for their outstanding contributions. With innovation, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous learning, the A&F team is ready to take on new challenges and embrace the future. Presenting the art of empowerment - Project Zardozi. We were delighted to have a Christmas Zardozi Pop-up store on December 17th & 18th celebrating this beautiful art form at the DCM Shriram Aerocity and Gurgaon offices! There were many beautiful, handcrafted items on sale created under Project Zardozi – A Livelihood Initiative of DCM Shriram Foundation and implemented by Mon Ami Foundation, which aims to empower rural women through the craft of Zardozi.
