Decoding Thiruvananthapuram’s Digital Ecosystem: Kerala’s Capital and Emerging Technology Hub Thiruvananthapuram has a vibrant digital ecosystem with robust IT industries/startups, excellent talent pool availability, infrastructure and sound governance. To understand the potential of the city, it is always a pleasure to visit various establishments in the city that augments the digital ecosystem of the state and accordingly Technopark team recently visited the Centre for Development of Imaging Technology(C-DIT) campus. During the interaction of Col Sanjeev Nair (Retd), CEO Technopark with Shri Jayaraj G, Director, and Mr. Jayadev Anand AK, Registrar at the Centre for Development of Imaging Technology (C-DIT), they explored ways to further the city’s digital and technological growth. Founded in 1988, C-DIT has transitioned from an R&D institution to a key player in Information Technology, significantly contributing to Kerala’s IT policy and executing impactful projects like supporting Kerala PSC, managing the E-Sevanam portal, and providing essential services such as security hologram production and advanced security imaging. By synergizing their strengths and leveraging the city’s rich intellectual capital, Technopark, C-DIT, and other organizations under the KeralaIT umbrella are set to transform Thiruvananthapuram into a global hub of innovation and technology.
