We mostly talked about how we fine-tuned (PEFT, LoRa, quantization, DPO, etc.) an LLM to our tailor's needs and how we combined it with various other NLP/prediction models to build the first and only AI-based Sports narrator.

Fast-Track Funding Program Israeli Tech Companies Program's Description As a quick response to the challenges tech companies are facing, as a result of the “Iron Swords” war, the Israel Innovation Authority is offering a “Fast Track” funding program to support technological companies and projects. Goal of the incentive program This funding program operates through the Innovation Authority’s R&D fund and is designed for innovative Israeli tech companies with a short runway (up to 6 months) that are in the process of raising capital. Those companies that experience challenges in raising capital due to the situation and in need of bridge funding, are the target of this program. Who is the incentive program for? The fast track is designed for Israeli companies who are in the midst of development/early sales with substantial assets (technologies, unique team, consumers etc). What do you get? The upcoming revolution in #gaming: characters will converse with us as if they were real players. Gone are the days of agreeable #NPCs ("non-player characters") who simply nod and smile; the future promises a new breed of virtual characters with a mind of their own. New NPCs will be powered by artificial intelligence, and it's time we become accustomed to this advancement. If you were skeptical about #AI's ability to outperform you in a game, it's now apparent that the victor will be a player who uses AI. In a January demonstration by Nvidia and Convai, a new concept began to emerge: the numerous characters populating the game are not merely NPCs to be pushed around, eliminated, or overlooked. Every one of them has their own unique personality and viewpoints and plans for the evening. In a scene from the game #Cyberpunk2077, named "Ramen Shop," you can actually converse with the characters using a microphone, and they will respond verbally. The key aspect is that it's not a pre-written script but a #GenAI conversation, just like ChatGPT. Now Nvidia is working with Amazing Seasun Games on an AI version of the most anticipated game #MechaBrake. In this setting, AI characters are actively involved in the game, taking on roles such as assistants, advisors, or even fellow team members. During an Interview with Seth Schneider from NVIDIA, I discovered how the newest digital characters are designed to communicate, collaborate, and even make mistakes, reflecting the behaviors of human players. The final selection day for the Genesis program took place at our partners' venue, Google for Startups Israel. Our selection committee was diverse and included investors, entrepreneurs, partners from KPMG and Gornitzky GNY, and business leaders. This was to provide suitable evaluation for the 40 startups that participated in the selection days for the program (a total of 140 startups applied), from which we will select 10 outstanding startups. It's exciting to see so many great startups, most of which have emerged in recent months. From the hardship and pain we are experiencing as a nation, new initiatives are sprouting that will change the world. In short, an idol, a hero of mine, included me in one of his popular YouTube videos all about the inner workings of pro-wrestling. For extra context, the man in this image pointing to an image of me is none other than "Mike Quackenbush" (genius name), and he has worked within professional wrestling for the past 25+ years. Now, a quick speed story as to why 2024 is absolutely mad to me: When I went to uni at Canterbury Christ Church University, I’d watch Mike Quackenbush and his team produce a unique wrestling show called "CHIKARA," which I would download weekly onto my iPod Video (yeah, 2006 baby!). Anyway, I watched this man build his team, his company, and himself into one of the most influential wrestling peeps on the planet. ANY modern wrestling you watch right now, you WILL find a Mike Quackenbush fingerprint. Fast forward to today, it absolutely boggles my mind that I can call Mike Quackenbush my idol and mentor. For context, I am 37 years old now, but if 18.5-year-old me knew that in "double your lifetime" this'll happen, it would blow my tiny (wrestling-obsessed) mind. Side note: Although Mike's work is pro-wrestling focused, many of the lessons taught can be applied to "the real world." This comment is more for those who have directly worked with me: If you've ever thought anything nice about me or my work, I guarantee Mr. Mike Quackenbush is the genesis of that idea. Without Mike Quackenbush, not only his coaching but his life story, I certainly wouldn't be part promoting UKPW live events. Actually, I probably wouldn't have done half as much as I have/did in UK British Wrestling. Quick story: CHIKARA would run the largest (non-WWE/big-time player) wrestling tournament in the world, called "The King Of Trios," where wrestlers from around the world would be invited to participate. My "ultimate (realistic) goal" was to take part in a "King Of Trios" and represent UKPW—I really thought in 2019 going into 2020 I had a solid chance of that. (We all know what global "thingy" happened.) Since then, Mike started his YouTube channel "Til We Make It" to accompany his four "insider" pro-wrestling books. When Mike started the channel, I reached out to say how much I enjoyed his videos. His incredibly fast and polite response led to Mike coaching me from afar for the past four years. I've got to do some pretty cool things, and whether directly or indirectly, Mike has been my long-distance trainer. Bonus Point: I'd love to hear (or tag) people who have made a difference in your working life. Reichman University is the leading incubator of academic entrepreneurship in Israel and the world The data speaks for itself: a study by Prof. Ilya Strebulaev from Stanford University was published and found that startups of founders who studied at Reichman University and Raphael Recanati International School, and received an investment from a US venture capital fund, are 11.3% more likely to reach unicorn status. According to the research findings, Reichman University is ranked second in the world (!). The study included only universities outside the US. The young Reichman University has produced 14 companies that have become unicorns, and in relation to its size and age, this is an unprecedented number. The findings emphasize the significant contribution of Reichman University, specifically the Adelson School of Entrepreneurship to the global technology and business industry, and its central role in the success of the State of Israel as a global technology leader!

For instance, Who should be charged if an #investmentAI leads to investors losses, or appears to have used insider data? Similarly, who should be investigated, if a #lendingAI discriminates between potential lenders (based for instance on past statistics profiling)? Addressing the very delicate topic of "assignment appropriation" - essentially stealing a candidate's submission and incorporating in your team's work - Dorit Turpaz breaks it down bluntly and brilliantly to Oryan Aviner in our recent episode of PMMiya Podcast: It's presumptuous of you, an outsider with very little knowledge and access to data, to think that your task, as well made as it might be, has enough real world value for that company to implement. I personally want to believe that hiring managers use home assignments to screen for skills, comprehension and approach, not on their ability to deliver unpaid value for them. It's more than OK to walk away from an assignment that feels over the top, unfair or exploitative.
