 SAP Security Role Tip 🔐 🔶When you are changing an SAP composite role, you may want to add a new single role or delete a single role, after this you then would obviously want to transport the change. ❌Do not tick the “Single Roles in Composite Roles” check box. This will transport all of the individual single roles in the same transport. This will cause issue for you when working on projects as there may be another colleague working on one of those single roles in another change, thus you have now attached an older version of the role and this will flag downgrades for your transport. There are of course times when it’s suitable to use this but these are few and far between. ✅Unticking the box will only transport the metadata of the change related to the composite role, thus making your transport smaller and also saving you a lot of headaches when you are trying to maintain a retrofit dual track

D365FO Contracts vs Available Candidates For many D365 resources, it's been a slow and painful start to the year Available resource has been and is far outweighing live contract opportunities There are also many positives to focus in on which will impact the contract job market from now onwards: 1) New Budget sign offs 2) Many new projects have been kicking off It takes time for an end-user to realise the importance of having external support outside of their partner What's the bet they will all be hiring at a similar time to one another another? 3) MS Gold Partners are BUSY! 4) Opportunity to keep up to date with the latest training 5) Perm/FTC opportunities going unfilled with present an overspill in additional requirements We are starting to see the effects of the above come in to play, with an increased level of contract activity There are more projects starting than ever before It's only a matter of time before we see many more live requirements as a result Let me know your thoughts on the current market below

Dependency on SAP contractors ⛔️ I recently spoke with a large manufacturing company who worried about the dependency of using SAP contractors and the costs related to the service. They want to build a team of specialised SAP resources without having to rely on external consultants. Having seen this situation previously, I advised the Director that the overhead costs associated with benefits, training, and ongoing employment significantly outweigh the costs of hiring a contractor for specialised/short term projects (that is, if it is even possible to find someone who is willing to do the specialised work internally!). Delaying projects, not having flexibility in your decision making and overburdening high performing internal teams members all cost more in the long run. I find that the best SAP contractors on the market do not want to overstay their welcome and want to deliver the project within the timeframe expected. Would you agree❓ #SAP #ReframingMindsets

There was one basic question raised by them on the roles and responsibilities of a CI consultant as this configuration touches multiple points like - CI iFlows & security materials, BTP cockpit, SCC, and on-prem system (S4H). Is the CI consultant responsible for the entire connections/config? If not, who would be part of the team? Who will do what? Let's take the D365 job market as an example There are 3 core products F&SCM, CE & BC Of those 3 products there are a bunch of modules that sit within that solution As a result of that, there are various job roles that fit into those modular areas Recently I posted a job for a Tax Specialist with D365 F&O knowledge Guess who applied? D365 CE Developers & Testers... Why will this approach not work for you? BECAUSE YOU AREN'T QUALIFIED FOR THE ROLE I promise you if you stop applying for anything that has D365 in the title and focused in on your niche a bit more, you will have more results What do I do with these kind of applications? Yes, I ignore them, because it is a waste of everybody's time.. Am I being completely unfair?
