I am absolutely delighted to be recognised this month for my contributions to The OddBalls Foundation Over the past month I: - Delivered awareness sessions to senior cycle of Galway Educate together secondary school, and to the chartered institute for sport and physical activity, in an attempt to educate people and break down the sigma around testicular cancer. - Raised €1030 for the Oddballs foundation through my sunrise sea swim fundraising campaign. - In addition to the above I also spent the month studying for my penultimate exams in University of Galway School of Law which I am sitting this week. I am eternally grateful to Alfie Bouchier Kieran Kelly Josh Goodwin and Ella Godfrey for the opportunity to spread the foundation message and better myself!🍒
University Ambassadors of the Month: November 2024 🎓🎉 Congratulations to Haydn Rees and Brian Bergin for being recognised as our University Ambassadors of the Month for November - Men's Health Awareness Month! 🤩 Haydn has truly gone above and beyond in organising The Big OddBalls FDN Rugby match between Loughborough Students RFC and Exeter University RFC for the highly anticipated BUCS Super Rugby clash. 🏉 His outstanding initiative and dedication were key in promoting ticket sales and collaborating closely with Loughborough SU and Loughborough Sport to not only raise funds but also spotlight the incredible work of The OddBalls Foundation in raising awareness of Testicular Cancer. 🙌 In addition to his efforts leading up to the match, Haydn ensured the event gained significant traction on social media, amplifying the charity’s message far and wide. After the match, the SU hosted a neon-themed night out, further supporting the Foundation’s mission. 📣 Thanks to Haydn’s hard work and commitment, the fixture raised an impressive £3,000 and The OddBalls Foundation’s message reached even more people. A massive congratulations to Haydn for his exceptional efforts! 👏 Brian set himself the daunting challenge of taking a cold dip in the Baltic North Atlantic Ocean every day throughout the month to raise awareness and funds to support The OddBalls Foundation’s. 🥶🌊 Through sheer determination and with the support of his friends, Brian never missed a single day, holding himself accountable throughout the entire challenge 💪 His efforts have raised an impressive £854, a fantastic achievement that highlights his dedication to such a monumental task. A huge congratulations to Brian for his commitment and hard work – a true ambassador for the cause! Well done, Brian! 🙌🎉 #TheOddBallsFoundation #UniversityAmbassadors #TesticularCancer
