It was fantastic to see our client, Orla Nagle take the stage at IAPI - Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland Effies Showcase yesterday to discuss Vodafone's Silver winning Rugby World Cup Campaign, ‘Play like brothers’. Orla wonderfully articulated the key challenge Vodafone faces, how do you help feel emotionally connected to “something you can’t feel, see or taste - a network.” This campaign found a unique way to tell a functional story of network reliability in an emotive way using sponsorship as our vehicle. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to make this campaign a success and to IAPI for organising such an inspiring and insightful event. As part of Vodafone's ongoing ‘Home of Trade-In’ initiative, we created a powerful new out-of-home campaign addressing the escalating issue of e-waste in Ireland. This campaign uses the stunning backdrop of Glendalough to highlight the magnitude of e-waste through a dramatic depiction of a literal mountain of unused smartphones. With more than 5 million unused smartphones languishing in drawers across Ireland, the valuable raw materials they contain are being overlooked and wasted. This issue remains largely hidden and forgotten, as these devices sit idle and unused. Vodafone offers a range of solutions to tackle this growing problem, including refurbished smartphones, Trade-In programs, device repair, and recycling services. These initiatives give unused phones a new lease on life, ensuring they are repaired, recycled, or repurposed. ♻
