Working on automating processes to be even better! How? 💡 - By using #Redmine as our project management system. Redmine is an open-source application with a modular architecture that plugins can extend. We use Redmine plugins to add functionality that is not present in Redmine Core. Plugins allow us to extend basic functionality and make cross-system integrations. - For example, when a person sets time off in Redmine, it should be automatically added to the person’s Office365 calendar and also reflected as the Mattermost user status, so others see this information in the IM communicator when they try to reach out to the unavailable person. The latest internal #hackathon, where members of the R&D Backend and Web Frontend teams met to increase our work efficiency, was all about real-time collaboration, coding, and pizza! The main goal was to automate selected internal processes and parts of our daily agenda. 🍕🤝 Check the article in the comments for other tips on automating internal processes that might be helpful in your workplace. ✌️

Need a streamlined way to access cadastral data from the Czech CUZK system? 🖇️ The CUZK Authorized Entity Reader Connector lets registered users access specified real estate data online from the Czech Office for Surveying, Mapping, and Cadastre (CUZK). Users must register with CUZK and obtain access codes to work with the real cadastral database, as this is a paid service. 🔌📃 Our connector provides an enhanced user experience by appearing synchronous compared to CUZK's original asynchronous service. While the CUZK service relies on older SOAP technology, this connector wraps it in a modern REST API, making it simpler and faster to configure. Question for My laser scanning contacts: How do you identify tree species from your data? 🌳 🌴 🌲 We're encountering challenges in identifying tree species from laser scanning data. In Estonia, surveying regulations mandate the differentiation of trees by species. On drawings, each tree must be distinctly classified as either deciduous, spruce, pine, or another type of conifer. While we can quickly vectorize all our measurement data from point clouds, we hit a snag when it comes to tree identification, requiring us to handle everything manually. However, we cannot overlook this step, as topographic maps must have trees marked accordingly. Does anyone have recommendations or software suggestions that could help?
