🔎 #WB_PaCT project organised a five-day intensive training course on fighting firearm trafficking. It is one of the emerging trends in a significant need for specialised training, identified in #CEPOL Operational Training Needs Assessment #OTNA. The course, in close partnership with Europol and the Serbian Ministry of Interior, took place in Belgrade, Serbia. 🗣️ Over the course of five days, 18 participants from the police, customs, and prosecutorial sectors benefited from the expertise of trainers from Austria, Bulgaria, Serbia, UNODC, Europol, CEPOL, and the private sector. Fighting terrorism is a top priority for the EU. #CEPOL contributes to the prevention of terrorist attacks and the protection of citizens by enhancing cooperation among Member States through specialised training. 📖 CEPOL offers a learning portfolio aiming at preventing radicalisation, enhancing information exchange, cutting off terrorist financing and addressing the phenomenon of foreign terrorist fighters. These findings show that developments in Data Science and AI at ports could have a strong effect on reducing the vulnerability of ports against illegal activity. 🙌 #EU4SEC_MD implemented a 5-day Leadership and Management in Internal Affairs course in Chișinău. This training targeted the personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, focusing on those in managerial and #leadership positions. The aim was to enhance participants' professional growth while providing an overview of modern leadership trends and understanding strategic thinking and management within #LawEnforcement agencies. 🗣️ This course is part of the first component of the EU4Security Moldova project, which seeks to further develop the professional training system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
