A few days ago, I had a very interesting conversation with Rich Baron about the importance of International Coaching Federation accreditations VS other coaching certifications. Does it even matter? What's the difference? Does it really impact client engagement? My take on it is this: it DOES matter. Does it impact client engagement? Not directly. People outside of the coaching industry might have no idea about the difference and meaning of coaching certifications or accreditations (ACC / PCC / MCC / CEC / BCC / EIA... 😱💀?!). And they shouldn't! But having a PCC (Professional Certified Coach) truly speaks to your expertise and provides a solid foundation to prove that what you do is legitimate. ICF accreditations are the gold standard in our industry. They're globally 🌎 accepted. It's like saying you have a business degree from Harvard VS a local university from your hometown. You still know business administration and might have amazing experience, but for the outside party, 'Harvard'🎓 creates more trust and immediately eliminates any further doubts. I'm happy and proud that after 8 years in the coaching profession, I've finally made it happen. How incredible is this program! We, as ICF coaches, all share a common commitment to continuous self-improvement. The challenge of accruing enough CCEUs every three years can be daunting. At times, we may choose a program based solely on the number of CCEUs it offers, rather than considering the true impact the program could have on our development. ACBC (Application Coaching for Business Coaches) is probably the program I completed in the last 18 years that has had the most significant impact on my coaching abilities and what I can offer to my clients. The only downside for me is not having received any CCEUs at that time 😁. The 40 CCEUs make me eager to experience it again 😂 If you're seeking a phenomenal coaching programme that will make a real difference and offers plenty of CCEUs, you should definitely consider exploring this opportunity. You've got everything to gain!
