It has been a privilege for Triay Lawyers to attend the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) – Advising Families Across Generations Europe Conference over the past few days. Insights from the Monaco Minister for Finance were both thought-provoking and relevant. We are pleased to share that our Director of Triay Lawyers Spain, Alejandro Ponce de León, participated yesterday as a speaker at the XV Sotogrande Business Forum, organized by Grupo HCP Sotogrande and held at the prestigious Real Club Valderrama. Alejandro took part in the discussion, bringing his experience and insights on key topics for business development in the region. The event brought together nearly one hundred attendees, including the most relevant business and institutional leaders in Sotogrande, to analyze the different issues that shape the short- and medium-term agenda of the sector. Discussions focused on creating a sustainable and effective plan for water supply and management (in light of the growth and expansion of the urbanization), ensuring high-quality services, establishing a solid legal and financial framework to support investments, and emphasizing quality over quantity. The discussion panel, while actively involving all participants, was chaired by notable figures such as Susana Pérez Custodio (President of the Campo de Gibraltar Commonwealth), Javier Reviriego (General Manager of Real Club Valderrama), Rita Jordao (Marketing Director of Sotogrande S.A.), Mari Carmen Gago (Business Center of La Caixa), Alejandro Ponce de Leon (Triay Lawyers), and José Luis García (President and Editor of Grupo HCP Sotogrande), under the coordination and moderation of Manuel Gil. In the second part of the event, journalist and writer Teodoro León Gross took center stage. As the keynote speaker for the 2024 edition, he reviewed some of the milestones and challenges in Politics and Information today, highlighting the threats they face and the role of the media.
